Stretch Tartan Fabric Information

Our Stretch Tartan Fabric brings together the classic appearance of traditional tartan checks with the added flexibility of a stretch fabric. Made from a blend of polyester, viscose and spandex, it offers a practical, hard-wearing finish with a little extra give, making it particularly useful for comfortable everyday clothing.

Perfect for skirts, trousers, dresses, pinafores and waistcoats, this stretch tartan is also a great option for children's clothing, costumes and a wide range of other dressmaking projects. The traditional checked design brings plenty of colour and character to each garment, while the stretch provides that little extra comfort.

Away from dressmaking, the fabric is equally suitable for curtains, cushions and decorative soft furnishings. Its durable construction and machine-washable finish make it a practical choice for projects intended for regular use.

The Fabric & Ordering

The fabric is priced per metre.

To order simply add metres to your basket - we will cut as one continuous length. Half metres are available by entering 0.5 (half metre), 1.5 (one and a half metres) etc.

Also available in longer roll lengths of up to 50m by special request.
