Hobbs Heirloom Washable Wool Wadding | 108" Wide
Hobbs Heirloom® Premium 100% Wool Batting is one of the brand's most sought-after options due to its soft and luxurious feel coupled with the way it brings out a quilter’s piecing & stitching. It needles wonderfully, maintains loft & has exceptional resilience.
The 100% Wool Batting is lightweight & breathes naturally - it is comfortable for use in all climates, even hot and humid environments! It is also strong and resists bearding & migration.
Made of the finest superwashed 100% wool in the world – this superwashing process successfully smooths the scales on the wool fibres, making it pleasant to the touch and less likely to shrink.
Superb for use in ‘show quilts’ due to its wonderful effect on a quilter’s piecing & stitching, and because the wool doesn’t have a memory for creases, meaning quilts made with it will hang beautifully with not a crease in sight!
Quilt up to 4in apart.

The manufacturer advises the following care instructions however, we always advise testing a small piece first to make sure you are 100% happy.
We suggest washing items made with Hobbs Heirloom® Wool Batting by hand, in cool water, and laying them out flat to dry. If you prefer machine washing, items made with this batting may be machine-washed – you should use a gentle cycle and cold/cool water and ensure there’s no heavy agitation or spin during the wash cycle.
You may start the drying process of items made with this batting in a cool/air-fluff dryer for 5-10 minutes, however, we recommend you then lay the item flat to complete the drying process.
NEVER use high heat or steam with projects made with wool as it is very likely this will cause the wool to be felted, resulting in a dense, stiff batting that not only won’t drape well, this could cause bearding (bearding: the term used to describe batting poking through the fabric, generally in the stitch lines).
